November already...

Oh my, where did the year go? The holidays will be here soon, and I have only made a few cards- I guess I should be making cards now instead of checking out blogs! Oh well!! The day is not over yet, and I hope to get some done. I just finished my WSB project for last week, it was a little bit of a challenge- I guess that's the idea right! I completed 3 pages of my first mini album for the challenge and I will post here it soon.

As many of you saw last week I showed the Independence Party invite I made for a friend, well this week I have another card I made her. I feel like right now she needs a lot of positive and encouraging thoughts so I made the card on the left for her. I think the quote explains what's going on in an uplifting way.

The card on the right was for a friend who gives that listening ear whenever I need it! Thanks R.M!!!

Well off to make cards!

Until next time...

It has been a while....

It has been a while since I've actually posted anything and so I decided to MAKE myself do it now! Funny how life can get in the way of you doing the things you LOVE!! The only project I did last week was for the WSB Design Team. Actually the project happens to go in line with a request from a friend. A close friend's divorce was recently finalized and she plans to have an Independence Party. I must admit I had not heard of this before she mentioned it but it looks like a lot of people are doing them! So I came up with this as her invite. It's going to be her"Free 2 be me party", get it? I thought it was a cute idea to use the bee from the pooh cart and the the puzzle pieces to make the word me, and she loves the invite!

And the weekend is not over...

Well, it has been an interesting weekend so far in my household!! Last night I made my first cut from my Gypsy by Provocraft! It is a true learning curve but it is so much fun!! My first cut was the wedding card for a dear friend of mine who is getting married tomorrow. I presented it to her today and she like it, so I'm happy about that! I also made another card today as part of a mini challenge over at the WSB, for a little girl named Lily. I hope she likes it!
So what are my plans for the rest of this weekend? Well, I plan on working with my Gypsy a little more, because it was great being able to complete a design for the wedding card and come home, connect it to my Expression and complete the whole card in less than 15 minutes!!

Copics and Christmas....

Well I FINALLY used the copic markers that I purchased!! This image is the first one I've colored since my Copic Class and I think it turned out pretty good. I used DCWV paper for the blue mat, my cuttlebug snowflake folder (I used stickles to color each snowflake), I cut out snowflakes from my JTS cricut cartridge (also used stickles on them), and I used my "Hug in a Mug " Sugar Nellie stamp. Christmas is right around the corner and so let me get back to working on more!

Until Next Time...

I finished my first challenge!!!

I have completed my first challenge for the Whimsical Scraps and Bugs Design Team! I'm glad the first one is out of the way and I'm ready for the next one. I completed a card for this one to play as double duty. It fits the challenge and I wanted to do something for a special friend. The patterned paper is from a DCWV pack that I purchased almost a couple of years ago now ( I know its sad I still have any left), I used the music note cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded some of the music notes. The lyrics on the card are from Jason Michael Carroll's Livin our love song "Baby just look at us all this time and we're still in love Something like this just don't exist Between a backwoods boy and a fairy tale princess People said it would never work out Living our dreams has shattered all doubts." I suggest that you go to our site and check out all the awesome projects by clicking HERE.

Until next time....

Mickey has his foot to the metal to get to you...

Well its been a while since I've posted anything. Things have been kind of crazy around here. My lovely daughter told me this morning that I need to start making Christmas cards! Can you believe that, she's four and she had to tell me to start making cards! Well I listened to her and I made one today for a good friend, however I have more to make. This card was a lot of fun to make, I used the Mickey and Friends cart for the car and for Mickey ( this idea came from joy on the circut board) and I used my snowflake and swirls cuttlebug folders. I went over every embossed part with Diamond Stickles. The car and the snow are all 3D thanks to my Zots!! I used my new snow marker for the snow accents on the car, it was my first time using it and I love it! Well I hope you enjoy the card...

Until next time,

Autumn is on the way....

Well believe it or not is a nice cool day in Texas, however it is only because its been raining all day long! I figured with such nice weather, Autumn is right around the corner, so I decided to make an Autumn card. This card was made with scraps believe it or not! The pumpkin is from the Cricut Cartridge Wildcard, I attempted to make the card (blackout feature) and at 3 3/4 it was too small for what I was trying to do. So I just cut the Pumpkin off and used it for this Autumn card. I then used another scrap sheet to emboss the Autumn phrases (a cuttlebug folder, sorry I do not remember the name) with my cuttlebug. The leaf brads were purchased at the scrapbook convention in Texas this year from the outlet. The plaid mat is a sheet from the DCWF Fall pack. This card was my first Autumn card to make, and because it was so much fun, I plan on making many more...friends get ready to receive Autumn cards!!

Until next time...

Wow... What a weekend

This weekend has been a little bit of a challenge, however I still managed to complete some cards!! So far I have completed 7 cards this weekend...WOW!! I am posting two now and plan on posting the rest at a later date.

The first card is for my Aunt, who always seems to call when I need her most!! The phone is from the new Cricut Cartridge From My Kitchen and is cut out at 3 inches. I used DCWV for my mat and ribbon, Prisma flowers, and embellishments are from M's.

On the second card I combined Inakadinkado scroll stamps with my recent shipment from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. The SCACD sentiment reads" Nothing is impossible to a believing heart" . I strongly suggest you check out her site!! I used a DCWV Fall mat that I purchased last year, along with ribbon I purchased at M's.

That's it for now, but there is more to come. Please leave comments to let me know what you think!! Until next time continue to Create, Create, CREATE!!

From the first moment....

From the first moment my friend asked me to do her son's first year scrapbook, I was overjoyed. I began to sketch out layouts before I even received the pictures. This is the cover page of her album. The paper has little Motherhood sayings on them which I thought was perfect for the first page!
